Course overview

Educate by Medica are pleased to be hosting our intensive Cardiac CT Level 1/2 Course (leading to BSCI accreditation/towards SCCT) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Following the success of our sold-out Malaysia course in January 2026, we are pleased to invite you to join us for 5 days of Cardiac CT, as we review 150 CTCA cases with BSCI Level 3 accredited trainers from the UK.

Held in partnership with GE Healthcare

GE Healthcare

Endorsed by Malaysian Medical Association (MMA) Wilayah Persekutuan

Key highlights

This Cardiac CT Level 1/2 course is led by our clinical lead, Dr Azhar Khokhar (Consultant Cardiologist, Head of Cardiovascular Imaging, Essex Cardiothoracic Centre), teaching and hands-on training will be led by level 3 accredited BSCI (British Society of Cardiovascular Imaging) trainers.

The intensive course follows the BSCI and SCCT guidelines for level 2 accreditation, and over 5 days will include formal lectures and hands-on training using GE Healthcare workstations.

The course is endorsed by the Malaysian Medical Association (MMA Wilayah Persekutuan) and is approved for 20 CPD points.

Alternative course date: Essex, UK, 23-27 November 2026

The course includes analysis of a total of 150 contrast enhanced cases, including coronary analysis of various pathologies, bypass grafting and extra cardiac findings etc, as required by the BSCI. Complemented by formal lectures, you will cover all relevant topics and examples of rare and interesting cases shown. After completion of the course, you will be expected to perform and dual report 25 cases in your local settings before applying for level II accreditation.

For this course, there will be a maximum of 2 attendees per workstation, and we will keep the numbers attending in-person to a maximum of 30 to increase learning potential and allow you to feel comfortable with asking questions in the small, intimate group setting. As a result, early booking is essential.

If you are looking to gain your BSCI Level 2 certification and be confident in reporting Cardiac CT independently, this is the course for you. This course also contributes towards the 200 cases required by SCCT but please do check the SCCT accreditation guidelines for further information on their specific requirements

Who should attend:

Our Cardiac CT Level 1 and 2 course is designed for radiologists, cardiologists, and healthcare professionals seeking to enhance their expertise in Cardiac CT imaging.

Delegates are advised to have moderate experience in reporting Cardiac CT and should already be actively reporting some scans. This course provides the formal training and structured learning needed to develop independence in Cardiac CT reporting, making it ideal for those progressing from Level 1 to Level 2 or working towards BSCI/SCCT accreditation.

35 CPD Credits  can be claimed in accordance with the CPD Scheme of  The Royal College of Radiologists

PLUS:  The course is endorsed by the Malaysian Medical Association (MMA Wilayah Persekutuan) and is approved for 20 CPD points
